Middletown---Bo, age 19, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 2:51pm at the Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic in Portsmouth RI from cancer. He was the son of the late Precious.

Born on February 6, 1991 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island he and his sister Tiger came to live with their adopted father, Michael on March 27, 1991.

Bo was a very dedicated companion to his father especially after the passing of his sister Tiger in October 2005. Bo was diagnosed with diabetes in October 2008 and with the help of his father tried so hard to beat this disease but managed to keep it under control. 

Bo was also a avid bird and squirrel watcher but he really enjoyed being with his father where ever he went in the house.  Bo's favorite pastime was taking his naps, especially in the mornings when the sun was coming into the bedroom.  During the course of a morning, Bo switched his position on the bed to keep up with the moving sun, he didn't want it to go to waste.   He and his sister spent countless hours cuddled up on the couch or bed together. Bo also loved drinking water while inside the bathtub.

Bo was not a picky eater like his sister Tiger.  Once diagnosed with diabetes his diet was changed.  He loved his Fancy Feast in the can, especially turkey & giblets and tender beef.  Bo was very cooperative in having to have his blood sugar  tested at least 3 times a day and receiving his two insulin shots a day.  Bo was well loved on the Feline Diabetic Message Board and made many friends.

Bo will be greatly missed by his father and all those who happened to have met him in his long lifetime. Bo was such a devoted and loyal companion and friend.  He will live forever in my heart

Besides his late mother and late sister Tiger, Bo was the brother of the late Mittens and Muffin and step-brother Boomer of Newport, RI.

Bo was cremated on January 13, 2010 at the Robert Potter League Shelter in Middletown and his ashes returned to his father the next day. A memorial service for Bo was held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 (his birthday) for family and friends.
